Today, March 5th, during a meeting between Russia Council and NATO the situation in Ukraine will be discussed. This was informed by General NATO Secretary Anders Fogh Rasmussen, UNN reports . As it was said before, the envoys had planned to meet on Wednesday. “Perhaps all the ambassadors will get together on Wednesday to hold a meeting between Russia Council and NATO and discuss the situation in Ukraine” , says the statement at the headquarters of NATO. NATO Council will meet under the 4th Article of the Treaty , according to which any member of NATO may initiate consultations whenever, in the opinion of any member state of NATO, their territorial integrity, political independence or security is threatened. “The events in Ukraine and around Ukraine pose a threat to neighboring countries and NATO has direct and serious repercussions for the security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area , it is said in the statement.
