Today, Monday 14th April 2014 a civil servant kissed his wife, hugged his children and muttered the words “have a great day”. Unfortunately those were the last words they would ever hear him say. The tragedy of the nyanya bus park bomb explosion which took place this morning just makes me sick in my stomach. This never ending drama of boko haram attacks seem to be coming closer to home every blessed day. My colleague spent her first 40minutes at the office calling family and friends making sure no one was affected. It’s a pity. I once made a firm resolution not to make political comments or make any reference to Nigerian politics whatsoever because the idea of positive change just seems entirely hopeless. Pardon me for sounding harsh but it does seem to me that this country is at war with itself. There are people are who fighting a war and they are taking the lives of innocent people everyday and no body is doing anything to stop it. The weird part is, the enemy is united while we Nigerians are divided amongest ourselves casting the blame on religion, tribe, and our different political parties. These bomb explosions and extremists are killing men, women, children, christains, muslims, hausas, igbos, yorubas, and all the ethnic minorities. Our government is busy addressing this Boko haram agenda as a distraction to the Jonathan administration while thousands of Nigerians are dying everyday. Shame on you President Goodluck Jonathan…. Shame on you.
