Today, Saturday morning, the Dayton Board of Education met for 4 hours; one of the several decisions made was to eliminate postage expenses for BoE members, saving $2,250 in taxpayers funds. Every dollar counts, and BoE in general, and me in particular, were elected to cut unnecessary expenses, increase transparency, improve accountability and reduce operating costs - whilst increasing salaries for teachers, and putting more dollars into pre-school, after-school and various academic programs.
