Today, Sun Day, is the Catholic Sabbath Day. It was declared law in 321 by the emperor Constantine, who was also the first world leader of the universal church. Catholic means universal. To not rest and worship on Sun Day, the first day of the week, was punishable by death. Anyone who rested on the 7th day, according to the Bible, were also subject to the death sentence, BY THE CHURCH. Mans church. Not the holy assembly of the Body of the MESSIAH. I have never voiced opposition for any reason, against Sun Day worship, any more than I would against Monday worship, or Tuesday, or whatever. Every day is a day of worship. The saints in the book of ACTS assembled daily, for prayer, fellowship, and worship. Praise the LORD. But to declare the 1st day of the week, Sun Day as the official Sabbath Day for all Christians is HERESY! Even the catholics readily admit that there is absolutely no biblical basis for such a change. Not one word. Now where does it say that the 1st day of the week, or any other day of the week is the Christian Sabbath. The 7th day of the week is the Sabbath of HAYAH (I AM). It has been since the 7th day of Creation, and ever shall be for all time. Now, let me say one more thing, if I may. The weekly day of rest, is all but a thing of the past in the USA. For millions it is a day of work. Work has become more important to them, than obedience to sure commandment. To others it is day of play. Do what you will. To others it is the day of worship, exclusive of all others, a huge error. If you are not a worshipper during the week, your efforts on Sun Day are futile. To others it is a day of leisure and rest, by coincidence, as many employments require duty Monday through Friday, with Saturday and Sunday off. So choosing one of these days as a day of rest and relaxation is a good idea. Most choose Sun Day as the day of rest, because they usually do chores and such, on the 7th day. Since the church should (but does not anymore) rest on Sunday, they do too. But if they decide to do other things other than rest on Sun Day, not a thought is given to it. They just do it. After all, its their days to do with as they choose. And that is where the rubber meets the road. Choice! Who chooses for you? Are you lord and master of your life? Or is the MESSIAH? Now understand, when millions the world over are asked this, they will answer the MESSIAH chooses, that they are obedient. The tragedy is, they are deceived. See, obedience when convenient, is not obedience. Obedience when I dont have anything else to do that I WANT TO DO, is not obedience at all. Even if you religiously rest each Sun Day, but neglect the HOLY DAY of HAYAH, the 7th day, you disobedient as if you rested not at all. HE never once said choose one day of the week, as a day of rest. No, no, no. HE specified, undeniably, the 7th day, as a memorial and celebration of the day HE rested from HIS finished work of creation. Man was never given any such option to choose another day. Bro. Lahry, youre legalistic. No, friend. ELOHIM (GOD) IS LEGALISTIC. Atonement of our sins, was never an act of government dissolve. HIS government has ever been and ever shall be the same. HE has commandments given to us to obey forever, and only those who keep them have access to the TREE OF LIFE (Rev 22:14) HAYAHs salvation is just that, HIS. We enter in and walk HIS way, are we have nto entered in. YESHUA SAID SO. Mat_7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. OBEDIENCE is the WILL OF THE FATHER. Keeping the SABBATH HOLY and resting on that day, is obedience. Will you dare continue to ROB ELOHIM of HIS day of communion with you? If you do, then you are an idol worship, and a rebel of the Almighty one, according to HIS WORD. Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; The faith that SAVES is the faith that OBEYS! SELAH!
