Today Travis and I were out on the road and and he said wed have to stop at a store and buy some farmers cheese. In my mind I pictured Walmart or Kroger but knew better as we were half way between Lewisburg and Quality Kentucky. For those unfamiliar with the area, there are two things between the two cities, cows and pastures. After traveling several miles on three dirt roads we passed Logan lumber and metals and turned on another dirt road, over hill an dale we turn into what looked like a farm house with out buildings and stopped in front of one where a smiling bearded fellow was leaving and he greeted us. We went in, no lights and it was cold and a lady at the counter greeted us with a hello. Travis asked if she had any farmers cheese, and she smiled and said OH yes, and colby too. The store was full of herbs, spices, meals, teas, and of all things, Folgers coffee. She brought the farmers cheese to the counter and we then decided we wanted the colby also, and we paid for them and a small sack of strawberry yogurt covered pretzels. I asked if she had made the cheese and she said no, they had it shipped in from Walnut Creek, Ohio. Who would have thought. Ever been there Jeanne Ann Carver?
