Today, Tuesday 3rd December is the 21st Annual International Day of Disabled People. Each year the United Nations chooses a different theme for the Day. This year its: Break barriers and open doors: to realise an inclusive society for all. Barriers that disabled people face can take a variety of forms - from the physical environment to information and communications technology (ICT), from legislation or policy to attitudes in society or discrimination. The International Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of disabled people and their contribution to society.
