Today a little girl I have never seen before came into work. It was only her & her brother there, but there was such a gap in their age difference her brother didnt want to play w her. She was sittin there all alone so I asked her if she wanted to go down the slide w me. She said she was scared and didnt want to go alone. I told her I would go w her, so she sat on my lap and we went down the slide a few times. she told me she wasnt scared bc she felt safe w me. Afterwards we got some candy but her brother knocked it out of her hands and onto the floor. She ran away and started crying. I went up to her and told her I had a surprise for her.. Crying she said, what is it? I gave her a dollar to go get a snack. She stopped crying and gave me the biggest hug. I sat down on the bench w her while she was eating her snack and we talked for awhile.. Then out of nowhere she said, I wish I was part of your family I asked why and she replied bc your so nice she said she doesnt really have friends and I was her bestfriend. We made up nicknames for eachother and for some reason she gave me the name snookie. I call her mouse bc she is scared of everything. Lol. When her parents came to pick her up she asked her dad if I could come over and have a sleepover w her tn & go to church w her in the morning. As I was leaving work I could hear her telling her parents how much fun we had together. Its the little things like this that can make someones whole day.. Cuz I know it sure made mine.
