Today a very quiet sale, some regular faces unable to attend and were missed. It was a good day for all that though. I must say I do enjoy the Gate Road sales always a bit of friendly banter amongst buyers and sellers, always some advice if needed. Todays sale was no exception and I found the friendly rivalry amongst the sellers in the hall most amusing and for me a little profit with my quail eggs making the £6 that they did. I wish the buyer a good hatch and hope he will be as pleased with his results as I am here with mine at home. I would urge all members to support what I consider a great little bird and poultry sale, the more people that enter the better every sale will be. Great bacon sarnies and hot tea or coffee available, shelter from inclement weather if required, come on folks use it or lose it as they say and where we would we oldies get our monthly entertainment then.
