Today, after 27 years of employment, I submitted my resignation at Valley View Home. The residents and staff there have been my family & my home. I cannot express how sad It makes me that I had to make this choice. I will not tolerate being treated like a liar & being told that my performance is below standards when I have worked my ass off for the facility. I have worked 30+ days without a day off. I returned to work just weeks after my daughter Jordan was born. I returned to work too soon after my mother died. I worked through cancer & chemo. I have literally dedicated my life to feeding and caring for the residents of the facility. I can honestly say that I love and have loved each and every one of them. If you are a Valley View board member, or you know a Valley View Board member, I URGE you to actually talk to the staff that are working in the facility - actually LISTEN to them & not dismiss their concerns - including the department heads. For those of you that have worked with me these last several months and supported me - I am so sorry I could not make a difference. I could not ask for a better group of people to have by my side.
