Today, after the resounding thud heard round the country by Democrats yesterday, I am neither sad nor happy. I am not disappointed nor excited. I am ambivalent. I voted a very split ballot yesterday, and was not very happy with most of the choices made available for my vote. Yesterday was a choice of the lesser of two evils. I do not see yesterdays results as a mandate or referendum. You see, until we have term limits, and a viable 3rd party, my interests in Washington will never be represented. Our do nothing Congress has just switched the blocker and the blockee. It is time for REAL change: not this ridiculous dance that we are forced to endure each election season. As far as I am concerned, the 1% increase approved yesterday for Georgetown County was the only true representation of Democracy that will truly make a difference. Just sayin....
