Today, ambulances, mobile hospitals, laboratories and other equipment, provided by nine Member States and the UN Children Fund (UNICEF), are being shipped to affected countries in the biggest single transport operation organised through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to tackle the epidemic. Next week, EU Ebola Coordinator and Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid & Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides - Χρήστος Στυλιανίδης, and the Commissioner for Health, Vytenis Andriukaitis, will both travel to Ebola-affected countries to assess the situation on the ground.
