Today amidst some childish workplace drama I questioned recent decisions. I knew stepping out in faith and doing the right thing often produces backlash, but I felt as if this decision would deter the most confusion for the greatest number of people in the long run. Right aint always popular I guess. I prayed for peace. God showed up. Here I was allowing myself to focus on me and God brought me someone so much more in need. A customer came to my line and I said, Have you had a good day? (thinking that I certainly hadnt) She smiled and shared the story of a recent tragedy in her life. She had a miscarriage last week of twin babies. She said the pregnancy was a surprise as her last child was 19. The babies were lost three days apart. This was the first day she had been able to face anyone anywhere. I told her I would keep her in my prayers and she thanked me. Sometimes God brings peace by showing us someone who really needs it. Lord help us to focus more on others.
