Today, as I was walking into dominos to pick up my food, I passed a homeless woman sitting outside. I asked her how she was, she responded okay, but thank you so much for asking - and I went on my way. As I was walking out of the store, I stopped myself, turned around, and asked for a second plate and fork. I was determined to eat dinner with this woman. I asked if I could sit with her, She said of course. I asked if she wanted some of my food - she was hesitant at first but eventually I had her sold and we shared dinner and stories. This woman has 4 kids. She has been to China, Korea, and many other places. She has lived in several different states, and has decided to start over in fergus falls. She has gone through a lot. She was wise. She gave me a good word, saying : you get to pick your professors in life, meaning you get to choose who you learn from.. And thats a cool thing. As I left, I gave her my number and was able to pray for her, and felt totally confident in the fact that The Lord will take care of her. Tonight, she will sleep on the streets. Right here in Fergus Falls. I guess I tell you this story for a couple reasons. 1. Its happening here, in little old Fergus Falls. 2. You can change someones whole day with a little chunk of your time 3. Dont ever judge a homeless person. They have stories. They have been through things. They deserve love and forgiveness and compassion just as much as any of us. Jesus fricken rocks. He loves me, he loves my new friend, and he loves you. Peace out cub scouts. ✌️
