Today, as you all obviously know, is national Show Love to a Puerto Rican Even Though Theyre Puerto Rican Day. And I love me some Puerto Ricans. I could name all of them, but for the meritorious purposes of this day, Im only going to stroke 2 of them in need of some promotional stroking. Rick Moon and Luis Alfredo Del Valle are two of the most talented singer songwriters Ive ever met and am ever likely to meet. They came up together, played together, learned from each other, and now both of them are working on big things. Ricks one of my best friends and one of the most beautiful people I know. Getting to write with him and play with him and hang out with him are some of the things Im most grateful for in the world. Luifre and his lovely lady, Raquel, and their band, Buscabulla should also be flowing into your head and your soul through those delicious looking earholes of yours. Their debut EP, Kitsuné, which they just released, is one of the coolest pieces of music Ive gotten a chance to listen to in a really long time and it staggers me that I actually have the pleasure of knowing one of the people responsible for it and calling him friend.
