Today at Mass we sang We Remember and I could hear Mom singing and Dad humming. They were, like most of their generation, good Catholics who supported their church and lived their lives sharing their love and faith with us. Our churches, like St. Pats, where Moms family were born, died, worshipped and married are coming to an end because this generation does not support them. Our ancestors must be so disappointed. I am channeling my Mom to remind my family to remember our parents and aunts and uncles and grandparents and go back to church. Support your church. You will miss it when it is gone. November is in memory of all souls. No judgment, just a friendly reminder.
