Today, at a new barn to work on 2 horses, the client pointed out - TopicsExpress

Today, at a new barn to work on 2 horses, the client pointed out another horse scheduled to be euthanized in 1 month after her medicine is used up, if she doesnt get better, she says. The horse is in her early 20s, fat, tiny feet for her size, and had a butcher job of a trim. She was lame, crossing front legs over each other to walk (like a runway model...) She preferred to stand all day, as much as possible, with fronts on a concrete pad (despite very carved out soles, they gave to thumb pressure), hind feet at a lower level than the concrete. She wants to relieve weight from the front end. Not my client, not my business, but I looked anyway. Apparently the vet finds nothing wrong. Any thoughts? I have a feeling they may call me. No xrays. Never saw one walking or standing this way.
