Health workers in Alaska are working hard to tell people how they can prevent colon cancer. They are even dressing up as polyps and traveling around with a 32-foot long-foot inflatable colon called “Nolan the Colon, to share information about this type of cancer. Talking about colon cancer with your doctor is not always easy. Screening and tests for the disease can be uncomfortable, but they are the best way to detect and prevent it.
