Today at work I had the opportunity to have a conversation with an elderly man who happened to be blind. A 24 year survivor of a heart transplant, we spoke for a while and he ended up sharing his ways of thinking. He said that on a given day, if he wakes up and knows who he is, where he is, and what day it is, and he does something during the day to help brighten someone elses day, then it is a good day. As a 22 year old recent college graduate who isnt sure what to do with his life, it can be difficult to keep a good perspective like this. But this man brightened my day, and I hope that sharing his wisdom can help brighten someone elses. :)
