Today at work when I had someone at my desk they asked me about the pictures on my desk. HER: Who are those people in your pictures ME: My dad, great nephew Daniel, my great nieces Mia, Raina and Kahlise (I know I spelled it wrong Im sorry, my God-son Mason, my niece Gabi, my kids Tia n Michael, Joseph, Dominic and Percy and the cute couple is my friend of over 30 years/sister Normas daughter Essie n husband Nate and those crazy is women are my sisters (Johnna, Joyce, Cassie and Doreen) & my dog Cocoa. Here comes the look of confusion. Then she says Ohhhhh. I point out my REAL kids and SISTER and proceed to INFORM her. I have several sisters and a few brothers. I have a lot of sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, we arent blood related but we are family. We have been are there for each and have mad Love for each other. Not sure if she fully comprehended what I was saying and I really dont care. My FAMILY consists of a variety of people of different backgrounds and colors. I love each one individually and would do what I can to help or be there for them if they need me. I get so sick n tired of narrow minded people who are so stuck in their little box that they are so afraid to see the REAL beauty of the world. I LOVE YOU MY CRAZY FAMILY from the Italians to the Irish, The Indians to the Puerto Ricans, it doesnt matter, WE ARE FAMILY and you are stuck with me. That is all... :)
