Today begins the Chinese New Year of the Horse as we say goodbye to the Year of the Snake! The moon is in Aquarius most of today. At 3:16 am, Jupiter opposes Pluto. Jupiter has much to do with opinions and our stand on principles, as well as honesty, money, and abundance. Pluto is quite obsessive and stubborn. With this combination of energies, we may feel we are up against a mountain defending our stance of opinion. This is not an easy aspect as sort out our security and emotional needs. Mercury moves into Pisces at 8:29 am, where it will reside for the coming month. We are more sensitive and emotional and insightful during the time. Pay attention to your gut feelings and trust them more than normal. Moon squares Saturn at 9:56 am. Another tough aspect as we are challenged by responsibility. We cannot run away and escape, but must face these responsibilities head on. Moon trines Mars at 10:45 am and then goes void of course. We have a burst of energy with Mars allowing us to move forward with physical energy. Venus goes stationary Direct at 2:49 pm in Capricorn. Evaluate, re-assess your goals and re-affirm your position, and plan of action. The moon moves into Pisces at 9:45 pm and is our of the void of course phase. In Pisces, we are more aware of our surroundings and sensitive to the environment. Moon conjuncts Mercury at 10:38 pm. Mercury adds an element of objectivity to the late evening, and we are more mentally aware. Good time for puzzle-solving, and things which engage our brains.
