Today brought us, some not very good news. Dad had an eye exam today. They removed the stitches from his right eye lid. He IS blind in his right eye. Not the news we wanted, however, it beats what the alternative could have been in the first place...At this point, he also can not open his right eye. Were not sure exactly why, but on Friday morning he has an appointment with the ear/nose/throat Doctors that did his facial reconstruction surgery. We can ask them a lot more questions then. He also said he was having a little bit of trouble hearing, so today they cleaned his ears out. They hadnt cleaned out the inside at all since hes been in there...I guess there was a lot of blood inside there, along with lots of wax. Ew. He said that he can hear a little better, but not much. Other than that, not much to report. Rehabilitation continues with lots of walking. Me, Mom & Clint took him for a walk tonight before me and Mom left the hospital. We Walked 3 times around the unit. He ate REALLY good again today. 2,650 calories to be exact! . Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Each and everyone of you. Keep those prayers coming. ~Nicky~
