Today came with great sadness as a man who I was fortunate enough to call Uncle Pat for many years passed away this morning after a long battle of illness. You may know him as Carvel Pat as he owned the West Haverstraw Carvel for well over 30 years. Please remember him well, he served our community in business and friendship for the longest time. He was a gentleman and a kind soul. Rest in peace, Pat Belardo and thank you for being you. I will remember our last few hours together a few weeks ago, unfortunately in the hospital but over great conversation, smiles, tears and one of his favorite things, a delicious Italian meal. God Bless and may your spirit soar Uncle Pat !
