Today for soccer practice, we were unexpected whisked off of campus to an incredible sports center in the mountains on the outer reaches of Morioka. The fall colors in the hills are unbelievable, and they are literally all around. The sports center (Tsunatori Sports Center was on the edge of an incredibly beautiful lake which I only glimpsed from the car window, but Im now determined to go back somehow so that I can take pictures before the fall colors end. We played with Japanese soccer players and had a fantastic time surrounded by the beautiful Iwate hills.
