Today from start to finish carried a fragrance from my childhood. Time in word and prayer to begin the day gave me a great sense of peace regarding several things. Canned a few tomatoes & mowed. Blessed by another visit from Bob & Kyle Spangler, they removed my Direct TV satellite and put up a new digital antenna. 23 channels (or more, I forget!) It is exciting to know I wont be spending $84 a month for something I hardly use! Tonight I was invited to Barbara Lou Manocks for a family gathering to welcome Brett Manock home for a visit. So many sweet memories of our get-togethers growing up. Growing old is not for the faint-hearted, but on a gentle summer day when youve been generously helped by good friends and shared a good meal, good conversation under a crescent moon--its not so bad. :-) Oh- and a tree frog hopped on the hood of my truck when I left Barbs and hung on all the way home...inspiring!
