Today had to face a rare phenomenon in Dubai...power shut down at around 9:00pm...many areas in Qhusais (Damascus Street) faced power shut down due to over load...but has to salute the authorities, the way they handled it...police took control of Galadari Signal within 5mins of power shut down...knowing its difficult to get the tripped DBs on, DEWA brought in huge generators at night & fixed the power problem temporarily!! Really hats off to DEWA for the quick response, power was back in around 3hrs time! Cannot compare with that back home, wherein the response team would be arriving at the location only by next day!?
