Today has been a little difficult for LaNay and Jake. What a trial to go thru. Read the update, then lets take moment right now to pray for them. All new everything is hard to adjust to -- transition is difficult. Thanks for faithfully praying for this family! #prayingforjake #tomorrowisanewday #hesamiracle Saturday 8/16 9PM By LaNay Blackmon I have to admit Im kind of struggling a little bit today. Its good to be home and I loved getting to see family today, starting with Em & Luke. The transition to a new hospital, no matter how great it is, is just going to take me a couple of days and I need to just be okay with that. Please pray for patience for me and for Jake too. We were expecting him to be able to move to a regular room today, but they want to keep him in ICU at least one more night. I know its what is best for him, just disappointed. He did some physical therapy today and he completed the tasks fine, but his heart rate went up and his oxygen levels down, so thats why they want him to stay a little longer. His appetite is coming back, so that will help build his strength back up soon. Please pray for me to remember that in the big picture of things, considering how far hes come, this is really not a big deal. Please pray for him to realize that as well. Please pray for me to find a new routine here and make connections with the new staff. I remember times in the past when our family would move to a new town and wed be searching for a new church, there was always a transition period where I compared everything to my old church that I loved that I had to leave. But eventually, I came to love my new church just as much, so I know that will happen here too. Please pray for Keith as he starts this week off with the kids. So many of you have offered to help with them, and we may need to take you up on it at some point, but for now hes got it. ;) So when I think of a verse to find encouragement right now, Romans 5:1-4 comes to mind. https://biblegateway/passage/?search=Romans+5%3A1-4&version=NKJV And a song that comes to mind is: youtu.be/Ype1xE0wzsg Casting Crowns, Praise You in This Storm Im really not as down as the opening lyrics may convey. I just really like the chorus, builds my endurance back up! I appreciate your prayers tonight! Thank you all!! : )
