Today has been an exceptionally emotional and difficult day as I hang up my nurses uniform for the last time , having worked in the NHS as a nurse for almost 28 years. During this time I have been privileged enough to work alongside some of the most dedicated , inspirational , professional , hard working individuals you will ever meet and for that I feel truly blessed ! I have had the most amazing career and made lifelong friendships along the way . All good things come to an end, but my memories of the good times at Birch Hill , the Infirmary , Hong Kong and Fairfield , working alongside such caring people ( you all know who you are !) has made me who I am today .Its not an easy profession, its like being on an emotional roller coaster as my friends all know .....Good times , sad times , elation , devastation but the one thing that keeps us going is knowing that we are all in it together, striving for the same goals . My dear colleagues and friends past and present , Thankyou all ❤️
