Today i saw a post from a WELL know UTAH hunting advocate. anti obama, pro hunting, my kind of guy.............or so I thought. today he gets on his business and personal FB pages and totally rips fellow hunters apart for shooting two point bucks............ Someone i have defended with great vengeance and furious anger.........here was my last post before he deleted all the comments on both pages. .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................let me try this again: 1st, for a man to tell another man how and what to hunt, disappoints me Mark. a lot. as for the facts. a two point buck dressed and processed gets you on average 55 packages of burger and steaks from Garys meat. a wyoming buck last year that was aged at 8 years old got 65 packages of meat from the same place ( Garys) same cuts, same instructions. so, your more meat argument is reall not that big of an issue......... once you deduct bone and fat there is not a great difference. but while cooking and eating it there is a huge difference. that old buck is no where as good as the 2-3 year old i took the same year. Hunting Does and cows...............is POOR management. a doe will have 16 fawns on average. so you just killed 17 possible deer. while shooting a 2 point buck that will not even breed a doe for another year or two. I am a dedicated hunter , and if by the end of the rifle hunt i will shoot my meat buck. antlers taste like shit. if it is horns your after, your in it for the wrong reason... Mark i have defended you for along time. and i seriously hope that some anti douche has hacked your account.
