Today ill share the best Italian Restaurant ive ever eaten at,it was in Chicago,it was called Cocco Pazzo.I was with a dear friend,we planned a 3 day trip and I came apon this restaurant in Zahats travel.By far the atmosphere,staff,service and the food was top notch.I would recommend it to all it’s a little pricey but worth it,If you like wine you will not be disappointed.For our first course I had stuffed zucchini blossoms with goat cheese in a tomato basil jus,he had a collection of Italian cured meats and cheese from Italy,with olives and pickled vegetables.Our second course was a risotto of wild mushrooms and spring peas with pecorino cheese.The third course he had the insalata cocco pazzo a great garden salad with a lemon basil dressing,I went crazy I had the roasted beet,white anchovie and pistachios on micro greens with a gorgonzola foam.For the fourth course I had the fire roasted lamb chops with a cannellini bean tart with a chianti reduction,he had the fire roasted ribeye with broccolini and rosemary potatoes with a red wine jus.For dessert we both gad the trio of fine Italian cheeses basil flatbread,fresh fruit,nuts and an apple mustard.Try it out,but get reservations no walkins.
