Today in 476 AD Visigoth General Odoacer captured the city of Pavia, Italy. Forcing the last Roman Emperor, Romulus Augustus, to abdicate power officially ending the Roman Empire. Odoacer would become the first king of Italy, and the first non-Roman to rule over Italy. This was the final failure, after many poor political and military decisions, The Roman Empire was finished and Europe entered the Dark Ages... Are we (USA) Rome? Are we repeating their mistakes? The modern Rome is burning... Is there another Dark Age looming on the horizon?
