Today in Huntington Beach is a big day for me! I call it - TopicsExpress

Today in Huntington Beach is a big day for me! I call it “Memory Retrieval Day”. I hope that we will long remember the memories stored since “two score and ten years ago”. Some of my classmates have died but we can still remember what they did here and thereafter. As President Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address said, “It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work...” Harold Kester belonged to the Huntington Beach-Marina High School Class ’64. He was the Student Body President, Class Salutatorian and most importantly, my foster brother who hosted me for the school year as a foreign exchange student under the American Field Service (AFS) International Scholarship Program. He died of cancer in 2005 at the age of 58. On this 50th Anniversary of our classy and classic Class ’64, I wrote this article as a tribute to Harold Kester. I thought that I should share it with family and friends. This article also came out yesterday in the Asian Journal USA: HAROLD KESTER: A Great Gift to GOD benmaynigo23.blogspot/2014/07/harold-kester-great-gift-to-god-two.html
