In San Diego, it’s guitarist, Gary Duncan, and at the Coronado Naval Air Station in California, it’s drummer, Greg Elmore. 1951 - The Pretenders’ drummer, Martin Chambers, is born in Hereford, England. 1962 - The Beatles record, “Love Me Do,” at Abbey Road studios in London. 1964 - The Animals give their debut U.S. performance at the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn, N.Y. 1965 - The Beatles, “Help!” is No. 1 on the charts. 1970 - The Rolling Stones release their definitive live album, “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out.” 1976 - Stone City Attractions presents Trapeze and Paris at the City Auditorium in Beaumont, Texas. 1980 - Stone City Attractions presents Helix at Cardi’s Club in Houston, Texas. 1987 - Stone City Attractions presents Santana and Eric Johnson at the Sunken Garden Theatre in San Antonio, Texas. 1988 - Guns n’ Roses, “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” is No. 1 on the charts. 1991 - Country music singer, Dottie West, died today. West was the first female country artist to win a Grammy. 2000 - Santana’s bass guitarist, David Brown, died today.
