Today in the Oversight Committee, we voted to hold former IRS head Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify on her departments political targeting. Next step is a vote before the full House on holding her in contempt. Im committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the IRS officials responsible for the unfair and unethical targeting of conservative groups are held accountable and we get answers on this disturbing situation - even if it takes holding the agencys former top dog in contempt of Congress.
