Today is Be An Angel Day! holidayinsights/moreholidays/August/beanangelday.htm I can only use what I have in my hands. And so today, I am giving my website to God to use as a means to collect shoes for children who need them. Many families have been blessed enough to send their children back to school in new shoes and new clothes. I want to remember the families that don’t have that privilege. Many of you know that my son, Joshua, is a nationally recruited football player with 11 scholarship offers. He is blessed with the favor of God to be talented, athletic, and able-bodied. But do you know, there are so many other children attending schools who won’t get a second look from their coaches because of their size or athletic ability? They won’t end up with scholarship offers and a bright future ahead of them like my son has right now. Years ago, when my daughter was in middle school, she came to me with a concern about a classmate who had worn out shoes and told me how other kids were making fun of him because his feet were sticking out of the front of his shoes. As a single mother, I didn’t have much, but had just gotten paid, so I took her with me to Wal-Mart to pick out some sneakers. She picked up a lower priced pair and I then admonished her to pick out the best pair she could find. She continued to look and found a pretty nice pair of sneakers. When she went to school the next day, she took them to the office and had them to call the student down out of class so as not to embarrass him and she presented him with the shoes. She said he began to cry tears of joy right then and there and was so grateful to her. That was one child’s life that was changed in an instant because he got a pair of shoes. Now I want to use what God has given me to bring that same joy and restoration to as many children as I can. By using my site, I want to compel others to go into your closets and pull out shoes that your children may no longer wear but are in good condition. You can even go to the store and buy new shoes. Take pictures of those shoes. Send them to me through my website for posting on a special page called “ON YOUR FEET” designated just for this purpose. Be sure to include the size of the shoes. I am going to partner with as many local schools, childrens’ shelters, and charities as I can to make sure that NO CHILD has to go without decent shoes to wear as long as I am breathing. I am also taking donations for socks. Once the pictures are posted on the website, please just keep the shoes in a safe and separate place in your home. I will inventory the shoes just like I do any other items on Bizzarrd Trading. Children who need shoes will be allowed to browse for shoes they can wear through the special page from any place they have access to a computer and the internet. If your shoes are chosen, you will receive a notification from Bizzarrd Trading telling you where your shoes are to be sent. If I can pick up the shoes, I will retrieve them-or you can ship to the location of where the shoes will be provided to the child. If you are out of town, then you can ship directly to the location. Folks, please do not hesitate to share what you can as soon as you can. We use Facebook to show the world pictures of ourselves at the gym, what we’re eating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, on vacation and countless other things. Can you make the next photo you take count for something that’s going to actually make a difference in a child’s life? Don’t do this tomorrow or the next day or next week. Do it today!!! Please do what you can RIGHT NOW to make someone’s world a better place to walk! bizzarrdtrading.wix/bizzarrdtrading
