Today is July 14th..... 6 months ago amazing Drs at an incredible hospital figured out the cause of Brogans pain and suffering. Here is my Facebook post from that sad and scary day.... January 14, 2013 Team Brogan, I am having a hard time finding the words to type so bare with me. Sweet Brogan had his MRI early this morning and by the time we got back up to his room there was a large team of Drs waiting for us….. After 7 1/2 weeks of vomiting, crying in pain, tilting his neck to the left, arching his back, and being unable to sit up we have learned the reason for all of it. Brogan has a pretty large brain tumor…. I can’t believe I have to type those words about my sweet baby who already has a gene deletion, a brain malformation and a brain injury. Who would have thought so much trouble could be brewing in such a little head. We are scared, overwhelmed, sad and just plain freaked out at this news. The tumor is on his brain stem on the right side where the brain injury is. It is thought to be a benign tumor, but there is a small chance it could be cancer. Surgery is scheduled for Wed morning at 8:30 am. He also has a large amount of fluid being backed up because of the tumor which caused the nausea, vomiting, loss of balance and neck tilting. He has been started on medication to reduce the swelling in his brain and we are praying he stays healthy enough for surgery on Wednesday. Tomorrow morning he will have another MRI of his spine to make sure there aren’t any lesions. As hard as this day has been we know Our God is healer, and awesome in power! He holds Brogan and his story in the palm of His hand and we are trusting him to take care of our son! Please continue to pray for all of us, but especially for my little pumpkin!!
