Today is Kevin Hammers birthday, he would have been 28. I will celebrate him with smiles, tears and simple things like a walk in the park with the dogs. Id like to say Im not myself today, but in reality I am more myself than anyone could understand. I lost my boy, who filled my heart with music, laughter and silliness. He was so complex, yet lived so simply, never wanting anything more than his drivers license and for everyone to be happy. He taught me the art of making Ramen Noodles removing all traces of vegetables, late at night, while he drew, painted, wrote and listened to music. I would give anything to try to sleep to the thump and screams of Darkest Hour coming from his room. Waking up to him reciting me the lyrics of the latest song he wrote. A house full of his friends :) The rides full of music. Those were the days, in our happy house at the beach. I wonder who he would be today, and how different I would be if he was still here. But he is not. So today, I will do my best to get through and love him by cleaning my office where the walls are lined with memories of us from the time he was here, and hopefully be inspired to make some art and there will be music, lots of music ♫♪♫ Happy Birthday in Heaven Kevin ♫♪♫ I know you are right here...when the music started my heart skipped a beat
