Today is November 1st. Its the first day I will be wearing my poppy. Some people wear a poppy as a fashion accessory where as others wear one to remember the fallen of the world wars. Everyone wears a poppy for different reasons and it isnt my place to tell you if your reason is right or wrong. I wear my poppy to remember the 20 men who gave there lives as a part of a small unit of the British army. That unit is 321coy eod raoc Lisbon Northern Ireland. My father was a soldier for 22 years in the raoc and did 5 tours as a bomb disposal operator with 321 EOD. If you where to ask him he would say he hated it but he told me it was the best time he ever had,trying to out smart the bomb makers who where very good. The units call sign is FELIX,the cat with 9 lives. I wear my poppy for them and my dad who was at his best on the streets of Northern Ireland.
