Today is Reformation Sunday. We celebrate the Reformation because we remember the Reformers who stood up to corruptions in the church and who believed that all people should have access to the Word of God in a language and form they understand best. The Reformers believed that God saves us based on grace alone through Christ alone and by our faith alone, not by any works of man. Today, we are Reformers because we continue to stand up to corruptions in the church, bad teachings and bad Theology, and, most of all, to the corruptions in our own hearts. But we do not accomplish this by any tools made by man. We do this by faith alone, by grace alone, through Christ alone, as understood through the Scriptures alone, and we give glory to God alone. Amen.
