Today is UNselfie Day...a day to help others. Please help a foster teen attend Foster Heroes Camp. The camp is for fun and fellowship for youth IN foster care. Teens will spend time with others who share similar life experiences so they know they are not alone. The program is modeled after TAPS, the program designed to help youth of military parents killed in action or from suicide. Foster youth have also lost parents. They face many challenges unique to them. A camp like TAPS can help them deal with loss, trauma, bullying at school and separation from siblings. Veterans, volunteers and counselors (Foster Heroes) will provide a safe environment for them to have fun and build a support system. We are all volunteers but we still need funding for cabin rentals, insurance, food, transportation, etc. If you can help, please donate ANY AMOUNT at: greenvistas.org. $1, $5 or more.
