Today is World Organ Donation Day. I was invited to an unusual, energizing event by Suguna Hospital, Rajajinagar. One Madhu aged about 32 years passed away day before yesterday due to Brain Dead condition. He was expressing his idea of donating his Organs to the needy persons. His Parents Sri Ramesh a Retd employee from Bosch and Smt Gayathri a Music Teacher decided to fulfill the Sons Wish. So his 2 eyes were donated to Narayana Eye Hospital, 4 Valves of the Heart were donated to the needy persons in Narayana Hridayalaya, Liver donated to a patient in Columbia Asia, One Kidney to a Patient in Suguna Hospital and another to a Patient in Vikrama Hospital, Mysore. Now Madhu continues to live through 9 individuals. My Salute to Madhus Parents and Suguna Hospital who made this Donation Possible. I learnt that over 5 lak atients lose their life for lack of needed Organs.
