Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death worldwide, and the 2nd leading cause of death among young people (10-24 year olds). World Suicide Prevention Day is intended to bring together individuals and organizations in an effort to prevent suicides and mobilize to save lives because suicide is preventable; talking about it does not cause someone to become suicidal but rather could actually save their life.
