Today is a SAD day. We had to say goodbye to our sweet dog Snickers. She was such a good dog and I already miss her very much. If any of you have ever seen the movie Marley and Me than you can imagine our life with snickers because it has been almost identical to that movie! We got her at 8 wks old and she was spoiled right from the beginning. She was always in my lap, even when she weighed 60 lbs she thought she was a lap dog. She was a beautiful dog and tall like a horse. She loved people and would always jump on them. So hyper it would take her like an hour to calm down when new people came around. She barked super loud and was the greatest watch dog ever. I always felt safer when she was around. She loved my kiddos and didnt mind when they would climb on her or lay on her like she was a pillow. As a puppy she destroyed our house and furniture. I would come home everyday and the pillows on my couch would be de-stuffed and I would re-stuff my torn pillows and put them back on the couch so she would have something to do the next day. She hated wet grass and would never go potty in the rain. She would sit on my feet under the umbrella and not want to move. She loved being inside and would bark incessantly at the door when I put her outside. She loved comfort and soft couches. Like a little kid she would come with me to the bathroom. Even my little closet bathroom she would find a way to squeeze herself in. She was a great vacuum cleaner when it came to food. I never had to clean up what my kids dropped on the floor. She would also welcome herself to whatever was left on their plate too. I am so sad today. She has been part of our family almost since we got married. I was with her today as she passed. I got to hold her head and give her kisses and rub her ears. She was a VERY good dog. We will really miss her.
