Today is a day that my whole family DNA and non DNA members have been waiting for since January 2012. People from near and far have forever been apart of this amazing journey that started out more scary than fun. I realized throughout all of this and earlier through different struggles just who was important and who was real, and who really loved me. I have the most AMAZING support system around me and I just am in awe with how much love really is in the world. I had thought for a long time that there are very few good people in this world.. My extremely smart and pure soul of an Aunti one night after I made that comment said you know I believe the opposite, in my years I have found that there are VERY FEW people who are bad, it just depends on the circumstances that meet them. There have been many times I have stopped in my tracks and really thought about what someone has said and that was one of those times. So once again my life and my view and my heart changed so that I could be a positive person in this world like her, and so that I could look for the good over the bad. So many of my family members have never left my side and have helped pull me up when I am down and it would take me a million lifetimes to show and return the appreciation and gratitude to which I have for all of these people. Today we go to court and we change Elizabeths last name to Haywood, she has ALWAYS been a Haywood but today we get it legalized and we cant wait. Friends from near and far are coming in support and those who live out of state who cannot attend have gone out of there way to make sure that I wake up to a voicemail and text message saying that they wish more than anything they were here physically but that they are here in spirit and heart. One friend on vacation woke up early and drove quite a distance to cell phone service just to tell us that she loves us and that today is going to go great. Family and friends are taking off work and going out of their way for us and it brings me to tears. Mark, Ellie, and I could not be more grateful and full of love this morning to have all the support that we do. We can never thank you all enough for all that you do, say, and for the advice you give. We feel so loved its unreal. Thank you to everyone for everything, and Lord THANK YOU for those you have put in our lives, for the work you have done, for the experience and the lessons you have taught us, for your patience and your never ending love, and most of all for never giving up or leaving our side. thank you thank you thank you we love you so much.
