Today is a day that will always be on my mind. David was in the hospital with pneumonia. Not just any hospital but the Veterans Administration hospital in Houston, Texas. I was walking down to the truck from a long night for a smoke. Yes that was when I smoked. As I was walking out I noticed people gathered around tvs but too tired to pay attention. I was calling my brother to let him know where I was in case he was looking for me when he told me what had happened. I looked up & around. I could see VA officers running to entrances & entries. Upon entering back into the hospital I thought I was going to have a problem getting back in. It was even scarier the security was tightening up. Back inside as I was going back upstairs to hear those veterans all were ready to go back into the service to get resigned back up. Some were on crutches, some in wheelchairs. I can hold a gun still. May not be able to move as fast but let me try. Thats where our heroes should be. True to heart to protect our country for the price that could never be repaid. Our service people will never accept what you martyrs want to do with your people & most definitely not ours. God bless the USA.
