Today is a day we, as a culture, have set aside as a holiday. While the basic premise of the holiday, that being any one of an unknown number of religions claiming this day or time of year as holy for one reason or another, I do like to remember the point of all those ceremonies and festivals have something in common. To celebrate life. New life. New beginnings. Second chances. Now is the beginning of spring, a time of fertility and growth, when possibilities are endless and that which is most precious, life, is renewed. Take a moment, breathe in the air, watch the world wake up from an over long winter, and remember that so long as there is life there is hope.
