Today is a good day, I am so happy I could do cartwheels but I wont for danger of falling on my elderly nose! Yesterday I bought a business. A business, two shops, studio space, courtyard and a cottage! I know!! Im shaking with both excitement and sheer panic at the same time! 30 years plus of nursing and the terrible bullying I endured had just about sucked out my soul. What do I know about running a small business? Nothing but I am learning fast. Both shops are currently antiques , collectibles, retro, jewelry, art and gorgeous things ( in NZ that usually means a whole load of 2nd hand crap with some good pieces if you ferret about!) Will keep one shop with the same stock, removing the crap and improving it. Shop 2 I am going to open a chocolate and lollie ( sweet) shop with imported product from UK and EU but not for getting the kiwi pallet. Also want to sell art from local coromandal artists on commission as I have the studio space and funky garden art on display in the courtyard. My brain is sooo busy and having a few more of me would be great right now. Best I take it easy and walk before I run. I have lots of research and planning ahead and looking forward to every moment, this so suits my artistic side and personality. Take over on the 16th September, open for business mid October. Yicks! Come up and see me, I will feed you chocolate!!
