Today is a great day. I met with CEO Bruce Howart - Worldskills New Zealand, an organisation my husband John Tuau spent a major part of his life with. Bruce is an amazing person with many goals in regards to creating respectful relationships with our people. I learned so much and wished that the meeting would go on, but there are spaces in which this will unfold over time and Im grateful for the opportunity to be involved on this journey. What I want to share is that I learned that a great company called The Story Mint CEO Suraya Dewing exists. - It is an exciting opportunity for our rangatahi seeking to become expert writers or anyone of us who is interested in this mahi. Our people have a profession skill with hands on mahi and to be able to learn both would excel them through todays generation. I look forward to next months meeting with Te Ururoa Flavell and Bruce to discuss strategies for Maaori. Im so thrilled to be part of this journey. Te whakakoha rangatiratanga - Mauri ora.
