Today is a great day for so many people Ive spent a lot of time with over the years. Sometimes in professional sports, the promotions and accomplishments dont always go to the ones you think deserve it the most. You hear of a major league call-up and it literally makes you angry. Why is this guy getting to go up and that guy isnt? Enough of those type promotions start to tarnish your spirit for the quest of making it to the big leagues. But today, the good guys won. Our manager of the last 8 years, Charlie Montoyo, is finally getting a spot on a big league coaching staff. Hes become a great friend of mine and I could not be happier for him, his wife, and his 2 sons that mean the absolute world to him. There are hundreds of his former players, former staff members, and at least one incredibly proud groundskeeper celebrating a great accomplishment for an even greater friend today. Congrats.
