Today is a very special day, for someone who holds a very special place in my life. And though she will never know how important she still is to me I want to wish her a very Happy Birthday! There is nothing that I could give her that she would want from, but even so, I asked myself, if there were, what would I give? And my answer was, my gift would not be in what I would give, but in the things I would take away. I would take away the pain and tears that I caused in my darkness. I would take away the stress and worry that I put her through. I would take away the harsh and hurtful things that I said in the depths of my pain, and I would take away the frown that I put on her face in place of her smiles. It is my wish that should she ever read these words that she know the darkness was never hers it was mine, and she was the light.... Happy Birthday
