Today is an anniversary of sorts. One year ago I had to call 911 at 3:00 in the morning because Sandie was so weak she couldnt get out of bed. An ambulance took her to Methodist Hospital here in Richardson, where she spent the next 18 days - including a few when she was in ICU in a medically-induced coma while her kidneys were re-starting. The past year has been a series of ups and downs, but weve faced them together. Thankfully, my boss lets me work from home so I can care for Sandie. This past year has shown me just how much I love Sandie, how I was not ready to let her go, and its brought us even closer together.
